So, this has bugged me forever, thought I’d see if something could be done about it. Retribution paladin log rankings have a huge problem. The retribution buff (20% dmg for 10 sec) we get whenever someone dies. It makes it so on clean fights where no one dies you actually get a lower ranked parse than sloppy fights with lots of deaths or a few well timed ones, and to get a top ranked log (not that I ever will) you have to intentionally have people suicide at good intervals just to buff you.
IMO the buff should just be normalized out, reduce all recorded damage done by the paladin while its active by 20% when calculating rankings so logs can actually be fairly compared against each other.
