WoW Classic log transfer/name change

Hi,

I couldn’t find anything online but I had 2 questions if people are willing to help me figure this out:

  1. If you transfer from one realm to another but keep the same character, will you have 2 profiles on different server for the character or do the logs follow over?

  2. If you transfer to another realm and change your character name can you claim the logs from your previous character? As the API is not present from classic since no armory I doubt it but just wanted to double check if anyone ever thought about it before.
