Why does the "Damage" and "Healing" mythic+ parses use points?

Example:

https://www.warcraftlogs.com/character/us/illidan/gordonfreems?zone=39#metric=dps

I’m nowhere near 98-99 when it comes to my DPS, probably between 20-40%.

If you drill down to the actual parses you can see the real Key level DPS

Shouldn’t that page show the Best % DPS you have based on the highest key level? Instead of just giving a score based on points? The “Points” view is already there for that.

There is another example where a person was disconnected the entire dungeon on an 11 and did 0 DPS, his page still shows “89%” for damage, when that is obviously meant to be points.

Hello,

https://www.warcraftlogs.com/reports/FXGhx2tknA9VNYc1#fight=21&translate=true&view=rankings&playermetric=dps

This is the exact damage of the ranking you are displaying , for the DPS metric for restoration shamans.

What are you seeing on your end? Can you screenshot it?

Azrael.

I’ve shared the link, I wanted to see on a character pane, how good their damage is on keys

The character pane does not give me that information, it shows some score based on points (even if I select DPS as a metric)

You can drilldown to one of the reports and see that the actual DPS score was quite low, by going to Damage and looking at % key

I can’t post a screenshot right now, but I believe the link in the original post still works:

https://www.warcraftlogs.com/character/us/illidan/gordonfreems?zone=39#metric=dps

Example:

I am the shaman Gordonfreems here

If you drilldown to the 96 Ara Kara, my damage was really a 66

So why is the main character page showing 96? It seems to be showing points score, which I don’t care for if I am looking at Damage as the metric on that page
