I’ll keep this short- After viewing a raid log I saw my name was something insulting and not my characters name. I asked the raid leader, the person that logged it, and although all i said was the insulting name with a question mark they immediately said “i have no clue lol, is that your pets name?” again without me specifying “oh hey the log says ‘xname’ why is that?” So is the raid leader/logger able to change the name and they’re just not owning up to it? Not sure how that works.
Blizzard has a bug in TBC logs where they re-use identifiers for players, so this can cause the names of players to be wrong in the log. They’re aware of the issue but have not figured it out yet.
